A bikeride was beautiful and tranquil one along Rio Mendoza only took a couple of hours. We were able to hang out in the pools all afternoon.
The Chachueta hotsprings was perfect. There must have been twenty different pools ranging in temperatures. All with a great view of the Mendoza River canyon below. This place get packed in the summer months and on the weekends so we chose to bike there on a weekday. Nice and tranquil. Another bonus, waterslides!
We camped about 1 km down the road at the only camping with services that close to the hotsprings facility. Many others exist another 5 km away. During our stay at the campground, we met a lovely Argentine, retired couple. Every time we go to the a hot springs we meet retirees that travel around in a big van with all the creature comforts for traveling on the road and hear about where they have been. Give me some great ideas for what I should do in my 60's.
